Losing You

I flip through the pages of my picture book

And think on how you used to look

I read the notes you gave to me

Eloquent words, I wish had come to be

Memories fill my heart and soul

But quickly disappear into a big black hole

That one you left inside my heart

Please just someone finish ripping it apart

I don’t want to feel this pain anymore

Why did you have to be so perfect

I loved you to the core

I want it to be the way it was back then

So I can be happy and smile again

Then I see your face

The memories I can’t erase

Why wont these feelings die

So I wont have to live behind a lie

Now I watch you move on

I come to realize, your totally gone

I don’t want to feel this pain anymore

Why did you have to be so perfect

I loved you to the core

I want it to be the way it was back then

So I can be happy, and smile again

There are plenty of girls in my life

Some who want to be my wife

But it just seems so wrong

I know that’s not where they belong

All this pain and misery I’ve been going through

Is because of the love I have for you

I don’t want to feel this pain anymore

Why did you have to be so perfect

I loved you to the core

I want it to be the way it was back then

So I can be happy and smile again
